LEGAL NOTICE

The Whitley County Public Library, established under KRS 173.720, provides library services to citizens in Whitley County, Kentucky. In accordance with Chapters 65 and 424 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, the financial records of the Whitley County Public Library District for the Period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 may be inspected at the Whitley County Public Library, 285 S 3rd St, Williamsburg, Kentucky during administrative office hours:  Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Inquiries should be made to the library director.

CORBIN BOARD OF EDUCATION

EIFS SYSYTEM

The Corbin Board of Education will receive separate sealed bids for a three-coat EIFS system to be installed at the Corbin High School Football Stadium. Please contact Jim Kennedy or Rhonda Moore at the Corbin Board of Education at 606-528-1303 to obtain bid specifications. Bid specifications are available at Corbin Board of Education, 108 Roy Kidd Avenue, Corbin, KY 40741 during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bid deadline is 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Corbin Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities.

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR THE YEAR 2021

Ordinance # 21-005

Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Williamsburg, Kentucky, the 2021 tax rate for Real Property shall be 33.7 cents per $100 dollar valuation. Personal Property including automobiles shall be 45.0 cents per $100 dollar valuation.

Any City Property taxes unpaid as of January 1, 2022 shall be assessed a penalty of Ten (10) percent, as well as interest at the rate of six (6) percent until paid.

Notice is hereby given that Firestone Industrial Products, has filed an application with the Energy and Environment Cabinet to restore the eroded stream along the south side of Firestone Blvd with either a Redi-Rock retaining wall or Flexamat erosion control mats. There will be grading along the stream to give it a smooth, even slope. The property is located At the Firestone Plant in Williamsburg, KY 1600 feet south of the intersection of KY-92 and US-25W.
