INVITATION TO BID
The City of Corbin, Kentucky is accepting sealed bids for 95 gallon garbage carts for collection.
Specifications can be obtained from the City Clerk, located at the Corbin Government Center, 805 South Main Street, Corbin, KY 40701.
Sealed bids shall be received in the office of the City Clerk no later than 3:30 P.M. Thursday, September 2, 2021. Bids will be opened the same day, September 2, at 4 P.M., in the upstairs meeting room at the Corbin Government Center. The City of Corbin reserves the right to accept or reject any/all bids.
ORDINANCE NO# 2021-9
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE REGULATORY LICENSE FEE FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE CITY OF CORBIN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Corbin, Kentucky (hereinafter “City”) is authorized to impose a regulatory license fee on the sale of alcoholic beverages of each establishment therein licensed to sell alcoholic beverages pursuant to the KRS 243.075 and City of Corbin Ordinance 13-2013, Section 8, Subsection K and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the regulatory license fee revenues from the prior fiscal year as well as the expenditures related to the additional policing, regulatory, and administrative expenses related to the sale of alcoholic beverages in the City, with a copy of income statement being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that the current regulatory license fees are reasonably estimated to somewhat reimburse the City for the additional policing, regulatory, and administrative expenses related to the sale of alcoholic beverages in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky, as follows:
SECTION ONE: The regulatory license fee shall be seven percent (7%) of gross sales of all alcoholic beverages sold by the drink. In the case of retail sales of package distilled spirits and wine, the regulatory license fee shall be five percent (5%) of gross sales. The regulatory license fee shall be four percent (4%) on gross retail sales of package malt beverages.
SECTION TWO: If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason declared illegal, unconstitutional, or otherwise invalid, such declaration shall not affect the remaining portions hereof.
SECTION THREE: If any provision of this Ordinance is in conflict with provisions of existing Ordinances or laws, it is the intent of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky, the the provisions of this Ordinance shall govern, and such provisions in existing Ordinances or Laws in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.

An Ordinance amending the Whitley County Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, to include unanticipated receipts increasing/decreasing from various funds in the amount of $2,469,028.00 and increasing/decreasing expenditures from the various funds in the amount of $2,469,028.00 was read on 08/17/21. A copy of the Ordinance with full text is available for public inspection at the Office of the County Judge Executive during normal business hours.

NOTICE:
Notice: East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc. (EKPC) is proposing to rebuild, operate, and maintain its existing Rockholds 69 kV distribution substation, located 0.5 mile east of the community of Rockholds in east-central Whitley County, Kentucky. The station would be rebuilt adjacent to the east of the existing substation property, and be located on the south side of KY Hwy 511 (Tyes Ferry Road), approximately 0.5-mile east of KY Hwy 26. Based on the preliminary design, the proposal would include a new 69 kV distribution substation and a new approximately 100-foot long tap line constructed adjacent to the existing facility.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service (RUS) is considering an application from EKPC for financial assistance to construct the proposed project. Actions taken by the agency for the referenced project may be undertakings subject to review under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, 16 U.S.C. § 470f, and its implementing regulations, “Protection of Historic Properties” (36 CFR Part 800). This act requires federal agencies to consider the effects of its undertakings on important historic properties listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
On behalf of RUS, EKPC is seeking to identify persons who are interested in participating in the process for evaluating the potential effects of this proposed project on historic properties located in the project area that are listed or eligible for listing in the NRHP. If you have a legal or economic relation to properties that will be affected by the proposed project, or if you have a demonstrable interest in the historic built and/or archaeological environment in the project area, you are invited to participate as a consulting party in the Section 106 review process.
