ORDINANCE # 2021-5
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1507 IN ITS ENTIRETY, WHICH PROHIBITS ANY CITY OFFICER FROM ENGAGING, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN THE SALE OF BEER OR ANY OTHER ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, as follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 1507, enacted on February 27, 1940 and relating to and prohibiting any City Officer from engaging, directly or indirectly, in the sale of beer or any other alcoholic liquor, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be effective upon due passage and legal advertisement.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, PROHIBITING ANY CITY OF CORBIN ELECTED OFFICIAL, CITY OF CORBIN OFFICER, OR CITY OF CORBIN EMPLOYEE FROM OWNING AND/OR ENGAGING OR BEING INTERESTED IN, EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN ANY QUOTA RETAIL PACKAGE STORE(S) AND/OR LICENSE(S) AS DEFINED IN THE CITY OF CORBIN’S ALCOHOL ORDINANCES AND/OR THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY STATUTES AND/OR REGULATIONS, LOCATED AND/OR OPERATING IN THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, AND SETTING FORTH THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, as follows:
SECTION ONE: No City of Corbin elected official, City of Corbin officer, or City of Corbin employee shall own, and/or engage or be interested in, either directly or indirectly, in any Quota Retail Package Store(s) and/or License(s) as defined in the City of Corbin’s alcohol Ordinances and/or the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Statutes and/or Regulations, located and/or operating in the City of Corbin, Kentucky.
SECTION TWO: Any elected City of Corbin elected official, City of Corbin officer, or City of Corbin employee found in violation of this Ordinance or any part of same by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky, shall be subject to removal from office and/or termination of employment by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be effective upon due passage and legal advertisement.

ORDINANCE # 2021-7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2379 TO INCREASE THE PENALTY AND ESTABLISH JURISDICTION AND VENUE FOR VIOLATION OF ORDINANCE NO 2379, WHICH ORDINANCE PROHIBITS THE LITTERING OF THE STREETS AND SIDEWALKS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, as follows:
SECTION ONE: Ordinance No. 2379 is hereby amended and shall read as follows:
- That the dumping, throwing or disposing of paper and/or waste material or refuse upon the sidewalks of the City of Corbin, or in any manner littering such streets and sidewalks, except for the purpose of regular City garbage pickup, be and the same is now hereby prohibited.
- That any person, firm or corporation, or other entity, found guilty of violating the provision of Section 1 above, shall be fined not less than $1.00 $50.00 nor more than $10.00 $200.00 for each offense and the Whitley District Court and the Knox District Court shall have jurisdiction and venue to adjudicate the violation(s) of this Ordinance.
SECTION TWO: All Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be effective upon due passage and legal advertisement.
