BID NOTICE:

The Housing Authority of Corbin is seeking contractor bids for plumbing, electric, gutters, tree and stump removal. Must be licensed if applicable, have demonstrated competence, are insured, and experienced to provide these services. Bid packets and a description of services are available at the office at 1336 Madison St. Corbin, KY 40701. The Housing Authority of Corbin will be accepting bids until noon on July 24th, 2024. BID NOTICE:

The Housing Authority of Williamsburg, (HAW), will receive sealed bids for 3 apartment Restoration/Service/Remodel from qualified contractors until 10:00 am local prevailing time on July 24, 2024, at the office of the Housing Authority of Williamsburg located at 600 Brush Arbor Road, Williamsburg, KY 40769 at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE STIPULATED DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The HAW will not be held responsible for late delivery of bids by the U.S. Postal Service or any other means.

Prebid Conference including tour of units for interested contractors will be on July 15, 2024, at 10:00am at 600 Brush Arbor Rd., Williamsburg, KY 40769.

Proposed forms of contract documents, including plans, specifications, are on file for viewing at 600 Brush Arbor Rd.

BID NOTICE:

Cumberland Falls Highway Water District (CFHWD) is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of one ​2024 1500 Silverado CK 10703-SWB, 4WD, Reg Cab Pickup, PEG 1 WT-Work Truck. The vehicle should be equipped with an L3B-Engine: TurboMax with an MFC 8-Speed Automatic transmission, and should be white in color. For a specific list of additional vehicle specifications, contact the CFHWD at 606-528-0222 during regular business hours. 2023 Water System Extensions

Separate Sealed BIDS for the construction of 2023 Water System Extensions will be received by Whitley County Water District, 19 South Hwy 25W, Williamsburg, KY 40769 until 11:00 A.M. local time, July 19, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

This contract includes the installation of 5,000 linear feet (LF) of 4” PVC SDR-17, 9,000 LF of 3” PVC SDR-17, 280 LF of PVC C900, and all necessary appurtenances.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained from Lynn Imaging, 328 Old Vine Street, Lexington, KY 40507 (859-226-5850) and www.lynnimaging.com upon payment of a nonrefundable price of $175.00 for each set plus any shipping charges.

Each Bidder must accompany his/her bid with a Bid Bond in amount of not less than five (5) percent of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of 90 days. The Bidder awarded the contract shall execute a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and shall furnish insurance as required, in the General Conditions. This contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days after date of authorization to start work. Liquidated damages will be $1,000 per calendar day.

Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Section 3, Section 109, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act and the contract Work Hours Standard Act. Bidders must certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.

Any bid that is obviously unbalanced may be rejected. Whitley County Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities. Bidders must have experience with similar type projects in congested areas where multiple utilities are located. A list of references will be requested and thoroughly reviewed.

Small, minority and women’s businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to bid this project.

Pursuant to KRS Chapter 155, the Board of Adjustment of Corbin, Kentucky will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the hour of 5:00 PM in the Corbin Government Center, 2nd floor courtroom at 805 South Main St., Corbin, Kentucky 40701, concerning the request by the following individual:

NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE

In accordance with KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that EN Enterprises, LLC., 121 Vermillion Ave., Whitesburg, KY 41858 has applied for a Phase I bond release on Increment 2 of Permit #918-0508, which was last issued on 11/27/2023. The application covers an area of approximately 33.81 acres located 1.0 mile south of the community of Duckrun in McCreary and Whitley Counties.

The permit area is approximately 0.5 mile east of KY Route 1673 junction with Kidd Road and 0.1 mile south of Jacks Creek.

The bond now in effect on Increment #2 are letters of credit totaling $106.500.00.  Approximately 60% of the original bond amount is included in the application for release.

Reclamation work performed includes backfilling, grading, fertilizing, seeding, and mulching completed in May 2024.

Written comments, objections, or requests for a public or informal conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement, 300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601, by August 9, 2024.

A public hearing on the application has been scheduled for 9:00 A.M. on August 12, 2024, at the Department for Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, KY 40965‐1229. The hearing will be cancelled if no request for hearing or informal conference is received by:  August 9, 2024.
