PROPOSED DEMOLITION
INFORMATION FOR SOLICITATION OF BIDS
Bids must be received no later than Friday, June 02, 2023 at 4:00pm for consideration.
Winning Bidder must provide proof of Workman’s Comp and Liability Insurance.
A separate Bid Form must be submitted for each item bid.
Any permits or license required by other agencies are the responsibility of the contractor.
The City of Corbin reserves the right to accept or reject any/all bids.
There is one item up for bid.

Appropriations of Funds Approved.
Demolition to begin within 07 days of June 06, 2023 unless instructed of a later date.
Multiple awards can be done 7 days apart.
Property Identification:
House and lot located at 103 Church Street, Corbin. House and storage building.
Description of Work Required: House is to be completely removed as well as debris and rubbish located on property. Site to be graded with available dirt and seeded with hay applied.

ORDINANCE NO. 2023-2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12-2013 TO CHANGE THE DAYS OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 1. of Ordinance No. 12-2013 is hereby amended and shall read as follows:
SECTION 1. The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky, is hereby changed from the second Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. to the third Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m., except for the months of January and February. In January and February the regular meeting shall be changed to the fourth Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances, resolutions and orders in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon due passage and legal advertisement.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

In accordance with KRS 350.070 notice is hereby given that Alden Resources LLC 332 West Cumberland Gap Parkway, Suite 100, Corbin, Kentucky 40701 has applied for a permit for an amendment to an existing permit for a surface, auger/highwall coal mining and reclamation operation. The amendment will add 80.23 surface acres and 90.65 Auger/HWM acres affecting 503.56 acres located 5.25 miles east of Rockholds in Whitley & Knox Counties.
The proposed amendment area is approximately 5.25 miles east of Rockholds in Whitley & Knox County Kentucky, and is approximately 0.64 miles east of KY 1064 junction with Terrell Hollow Road.
The proposed amendment is located on the Rockholds, KY 7½ minute quadrangle map. The amendment area will use a combination of contour, and auger/highwall miner methods of surface mining. The surface mining area to be disturbed by the amendment is owned by Freda Mae Brock, Garry Jr. & Amber Inman, Vickie Sams, George Williams & Judy Burns, Brian Elliott, Rita Singleton, & Ella McCreary, Harold Grant, Jerry McKinley, Gary Grant, Ray Decker, Arthur Foley, Verna Decker, and Kristina Hensley.
The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Surface Mining and Reclamation and Enforcement’s, Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965-1229. Written comments, objections or requests for a permit conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Mine Permits, 300 Sower Boulevard, 2nd Floor Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
