The Whitley County Fiscal Court and the Whitley County Clerk are currently seeking bids for the purchase of new a Tenex Precinct Central Electronic Poll Book Bundle.

Vendors must submit their SEALED proposals to the Whitley County Judge/Executive, at the Whitley County Courthouse, 200 Main Street Williamsburg, KY 40769 or to P.O. Box 237, Williamsburg, KY 40769 on or before 10 A.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Proposal envelopes or packages must be clearly marked POLL BOOK BID on the front of the envelopes. Bid packets received after this time will be returned unopened to the vendor. Bids will be opened at this time and read aloud. Bids will be presented to the Whitley County Fiscal Court at the regular meeting of the Fiscal Court Meeting on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 4 p.m.
Conflicts of interest, gratuities, and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445, and as provided for in KRS 45A.445 are absolutely prohibited.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 90 days after the date the bids are opened. Any bid received after the time specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.

In accordance with the provisions of KRS 350.055, notice is hereby given that Mountainside Coal Co. Inc. 5540 KY 1809 Barbourville, KY 40906, has applied for a renewal of a permit for a surface coal mining and reclamation operation affecting 38.0 acres located 0.8 miles north of Faber in Whitley County.
The operation is located 0.8 miles north of Faber in Whitley County. It is approximately 0.75 miles west from KY 26’s intersection with Eaton Fork Road and located 0.5 miles south of Eaton Fork. The latitude 36 53 29, and longitude 84 07 51.
The operation is located on the Vox U.S.G.S 7 1/2 minute quadrangle map. The surface and mineral area to be disturbed is owned by Arlene and Jesse Middleton.
The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Natural Resources, Middlesboro Regional Office, Division of Mine Reclamation & Enforcement, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Ky 40965-1229. The Corbin Independent Board of Education will receive sealed bids for the Decorative Fences Required at Corbin High School Football Stadium Renovation, BG# 23-077. Bids will be received at the Board Office at 108 Roy Kidd Avenue, Corbin, KY 40701. Bids must be received by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, February 23, 2023.

Each proposal over $ 25,000.00 shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of each proposal submitted. Acceptable bid security shall be fully executed bid bond (AIA A310) or certified check made payable to the Corbin Independent Board of Education.
In the event the Bidder to whom contract is awarded fails to execute a Contract along with satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his bid security to the Owner as recompense for such failure.
Proposal Forms must be properly completed. Only one (1) copy of each Form of Proposal including all supplemental forms is required. No modification, qualification letters or statements will be considered. Such shall be cause for rejection of bid. No bid shall be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for receipt of bids and bidder agrees in submitting his bid.
Hacker Brothers, Inc. is the Construction Manager for this Project, acting as agent for the Owner, and acting in the Owner’s behalf in soliciting proposals. The Owner reserves the right, when in their best interest, to accept and or reject any and all proposals and waive any informality in doing so. Each successful bidder will execute a contract directly with the Owner and not with the Construction Manager.
