AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE PROPERTY TAX RATE
FOR THE YEAR 2022
Ordinance # 22-006
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Williamsburg, Kentucky, the 2022 tax rate for Real Property shall be 32.5 cents per $100 dollar valuation. Personal Property including automobiles shall be 45.0 cents per $100 dollar valuation.
Any City Property taxes unpaid as of January 1, 2023 shall be assessed a penalty of Ten (10) percent, as well as interest at the rate of six (6) percent until paid.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX RATE LEVYING A TAX FOR THE YEAR 2022 FOR THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
- That an Ad Valorem Tax of Thirty One and Two Tenth Cents (31.2) be and the same is now hereby levied on each One Hundred dollars ($100.00) worth of taxable property, real and mixed, of every kind and description. And that an Ad Valorem Tax of Forty Three and Twenty Six Hundred Cents (43.26) be and the same is now hereby levied on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) worth of personal property, tangible and intangible, and the taxable situs of which was in the City of Corbin, Kentucky for municipal purposes in cities of Home Rule class.
- Each of the levies is hereby made for the following separate and distinct uses to wit:
REAL PROPERTY
- That 19.97 cents out of every Thirty One and Two Tenth Cents (31.2) of the aforesaid tax for city purposes is hereby levied to provide a Current Expense Fund for the City of Corbin to pay the general expenses of the City and the improvements of its property.
- That 9.36 cents out of every Thirty One and Two Tenth Cents (31.2) of the aforesaid tax for city purposes is hereby levied for the benefit of the Police and Firemen Pension Fund.
- That 1.87 cents out of every Thirty One and Two Tenth Cents (31.2) of the aforesaid tax for city purposes is hereby levied for the benefit of the Library Fund.
PERSONAL PROPERTY

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received, opened, and immediately read aloud at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 for the Kentucky Splash Water Park Large Water Play Structure. The bids will be received at the City of Williamsburg City Hall Building, 423 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY 40769.
The project site is located at Kentucky Splash Water Park 1050 KY HWY-92, Williamsburg, KY 40769. The bid is to furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, machinery, warranties, and all other items required to meet the scope per plans and specifications. Work to include, but not limited to; General Trades, Masonry, Steel, Rough Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Foundations, Earthwork, Exterior Concrete, Asphalt, Fencing, Landscaping, Site Utilities, and Aquatics.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and labor and material bond from an acceptable surety in the amount of 100% of the full contract amount. If a bid guaranty bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid is submitted with the bid, no additional performance and labor and material bond will be required.

Each proposal over $ 25,000.00 shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of each proposal submitted. Acceptable bid security shall be fully executed bid bond (AIA A310) or certified check made payable to the Corbin Independent Board of Education.
In the event the Bidder to whom contract is awarded fails to execute a Contract along with satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his bid security to the Owner as recompense for such failure.
Proposal Forms must be properly completed. Only one (1) copy of each Form of Proposal including all supplemental forms is required. No modification, qualification letters or statements will be considered. Such shall be cause for rejection of bid. No bid shall be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for receipt of bids and bidder agrees in submitting his bid.
Hacker Brothers, Inc. is the Construction Manager for this Project, acting as agent for the Owner, and acting in the Owner’s behalf in soliciting proposals. The Owner reserves the right, when in their best interest, to accept and or reject any and all proposals and waive any informality in doing so. NOTICE:
Bell-Whitley Head Start is seeking proposals for equipment to create an outdoor learning environment in a location in Whitley County. The location is as follows:

Head Start/Preschool playground

This proposal will be for equipment designed for ages 2-5 years of age. The equipment is to be delivered and installed at the location listed above. The design should contain various age appropriate climbing, sliding, and imaginative activities on the base structure along with free-standing natural looking elements and shade features to create an outdoor learning environment with a natural feel. All applicable safety guidelines from the ASTM and CPSC for design, safety, and resilient surfacing should be met at each site. Respondents are invited to the site to determine the amount of space available for their designs.
Removal and disposal of the existing playground equipment and existing poured in place rubber surfacing is necessary to complete the project at each site. Respondents are to include removal and disposal of the existing equipment and safety surfacing in their bid.
All proposals are due at no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on 10/12/2022 at Bell-Whitley’s Main Offices located in Pineville, KY.
