The property is located adjacent to the Hope Primary and Urgent Care Center, 896 S Hwy 25w, Williamsburg, KY 40769 and approximately 500’ south of the Hwy 92 and S Hwy 25w junction and along the banks of the Cumberland River. ORDINANCE NO. 2023-13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CORBIN, KENTUCKY, ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE ON THE RIGHT SIDE PORTION OF FORD AVENUE FROM THE INTERSECTION OF FORD AVENUE AND ROY KIDD AVENUE TO THE INTERSECTION OF FORD AVENUE AND BARBOURVILLE STREET, AND SETTING FINE, JURISDICTION AND VENUE FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Corbin, Kentucky, as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a no parking zone and there shall be no parking of motor vehicles or any other items on the right side portion of Ford Avenue from the intersection of Ford Avenue and Roy Kidd Avenue to the intersection of Ford Avenue and Barbourville Street, and the City Manager shall cause the proper signage and markings to be placed at the above-described location.
SECTION 2. Any person in violation of this Ordinance shall be fined according to the existing City Ordinances relating to vehicular violations and/or Commonwealth of Kentucky vehicular regulations and laws.
SECTION 3. Knox District Court shall have venue and jurisdiction to adjudicate all violations of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. All Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon due passage and legal advertisement.

REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSAL
GARBAGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL
Sealed Proposals for the following work will be received by the Whitley County Fiscal Court in the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the purchase of GARBAGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL FROM THE WHITLEY COUNTY SANITATION TRANSFER STATION.
Agency must submit their SEALED bids to the Whitley County Judge/Executive at the Whitley County Courthouse, 200 Main Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, bids may also be mailed to Whitley County Judge/Executive at P.O. Box 237, Williamsburg, KY 40769, on or before 10:00 a.m. local time on January 16, 2024, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids will then be presented to the Fiscal Court at 4:00 pm on January 16, 2024.
Bid envelops shall be marked “GARBAGE HAULING AND DISPOSAL” on the front of the envelope or package. Bidder must submit on provided bid form. Bid form will be provided at the pre-bid meeting.
The prospective bidder should bid based on hauling household and bulk garbage from the Whitley County Sanitation Transfer Station at 535 Happy Hollow Road, Williamsburg, KY 40769, to an approved landfill and shall bid dollar per ton. The prospective bidder will be responsible for providing trailers to load garbage in at the transfer station, and personnel to drive the truck and haul the garbage from the site. Monthly billing shall be based on actual tons disposed of.

Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.445 are absolutely prohibited.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 90 days after the date the bids are opened. Any bid received after the time specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
Whitley County reserves the right to waive any informality and may reject any and all bids. Whitley County reserves the right to award bid based upon availability, service and in the best interest for the public safety for the citizens of the County. Whitley County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
