REQUEST FOR BID PROPOSAL
SANDERS CREEK ROAD REPAIR
Sealed Proposals for the following work will be received by the Whitley County Fiscal Court in the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the repair of SANDERS CREEK ROAD.
Agency must submit their SEALED bids to the Whitley County Judge/Executive at the Whitley County Courthouse, 200 Main Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, bids may also be mailed to Whitley County Judge/Executive at P.O. Box 237, Williamsburg, KY 40769, on or before 10:00 a.m. local time on February 15, 2022, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids will then be presented to the Fiscal Court at 4:00 pm on February 15, 2022.
Bid envelops shall be marked “SANDERS CREEK ROAD REPAIR” on the front of the envelope or package. Bidder must submit on provided bid form. Bid form will be provided at the pre-bid meeting.
In order to be eligible to bid on this project, prospective bidders MUST attend a pre-bid meeting on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2022 AT 10AM. This meeting will be held on the second floor of the old courthouse at 200 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY 40769. Detailed information concerning the bid and specifications, including a site visit will be conducted at this meeting. If you do not have a representative present at this meeting, bids will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
The prospective bidder should bid based on the following information; the repair will be done using a rail and cribbing repair. 902 linear feet of rail steel pilings, 1118 linear feet of steel guard rail lagging, 115 linear feet of pollution control, 10 cubic yards of grouting, 575 tons of KY DOH Class II channel liner, 242 square yards of geotextile fabric, .2 acres of seeding and mulching. Specific information and the bid sheet can be found at www.whitleycountyfiscalcourt.com. This project is pending permitting. Contractor acknowledges work will not begin until permitting is complete. Contractor also acknowledges this project will be completed under supervision of the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.445 are absolutely prohibited.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 90 days after the date the bids are opened. Any bid received after the time specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
Whitley County reserves the right to waive any informality and may reject any and all bids. Whitley County reserves the right to award bid based upon availability, service and in the best interest for the public safety for the citizens of the County.

I have been appointed Warning Order Attorney by the Knox Circuit Court in the above styled action of which you have been named as a defendant. My chief duty as Warning Order Attorney is to inform you of this proceeding. It is imperative that you contact me at the above address and/or telephone number as soon as possible regarding this matter. Should you neglect to assert any legal defenses to this claim, a judgment could be entered against you.
I ask that you reply within twenty (20) days of this notice. If I do not receive your response by that time, I will proceed with my report to the court. If no answer is filed with the Knox Circuit Court and the attorney for the petitioner within fifty (50) days from January 12, 2022, the court may grant the relief requested in the complaint.

Bid deadline is 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m., February 1, 2022. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Corbin Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or proposals, and to waive informalities.
