For “Mowing and Maintenance of the Williamsburg Floodwall and Levee from North Third Street to South Second Street and includes the entire area around the Merry Jeffries Community Center. Maintenance includes adhering to the Core of Engineer and FEMA Guidelines.

All proposals must show proof of sufficient liability insurance and furnish their own equipment. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and negotiate with bidders.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Whitley County Health Department, Williamsburg Kentucky, will retain a qualified architectural firm to provide architectural design and other related services for a proposed new health department facility. The Health Department will accept Statement of Qualifications from architectural firms interested in providing the services on this project, until Friday, May 2l, 20l0 at 4:30 p.m., EST. Proposals should be sealed and marked on the outside of the envelop “NEW HEALTH DEPARTMENT FACILITY.” At least five (5) copies of the Statement of Qualifications should be submitted. An RFQ packet containing information about the project and criteria, which will be used to select the architectural firm, may be obtained by contacting Gail Timperio, 114 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky 40769, or by calling (606) 549-3380 or fax 606-549-3362. The “Statement of Qualifications” will be considered by a selection committee appointed by the Board of Directors of the Whitley County Health Department. The Health Department reserves the right to reject any and all responses, to waive any technicalities, and to negotiate with the respondent who most meets the project requirements.  The Health Department is not responsible for any cost incurred by the firm(s) replying to this request.

This solicitation for “Statement of Qualifications” is being conducted to fulfill funding agency procurement requirements including CDBG and/or RUS per Instruction 1780. Attention of respondents is particularly called to the following as conditions of employment to be observed under the contract: 1) Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968; 2) Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; 3) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 4) EO 11246; 5) Certification of Non-segregated Facilities; 5) Section 504; 6) Anti-Kickback Act; and 6) All other applicable federal and state laws and regulations. In accordance with 405 KAR 8:010 notice is hereby given that Davenport Coal Company, LLC P.O. Box 856, Jellico, Tennessee 37762 intends to transfer permit number 918-0400 to Alden Resources LLC 332 West Cumberland Gap Parkway, Suite 100, Corbin, Kentucky 40701.  The new permit number will be permit number 918-0419.  The operation disturbs 24.9 surface acres.  No new acreage is affected by the transfer.

The operation is located 1.3 miles south of Louden in Whitley County.  The operation is approximately 0.1 miles south from Louden Road’s junction with Mayes Cemetery Road and located 0.1 mile west of the Cumberland River.  The operation is located on the Saxton U.S.G.S. 7½ minute quadrangle map.

The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965-1229.  Written comments or objections must be filed with the Director, Division of Mine Permits, #2 Hudson Hollow, U.S. 127 South, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.  All comments or objections must be received within fifteen (15) days of today’s date.

Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc. proposes a new Pipe Replacement Program tariff.  Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc. also proposes a change to the Gas Cost Recovery tariff that provides recovery of Uncollectible Gas Costs through the GCR mechanism.  Copies of the proposals may be obtained by contacting Emily P. The foregoing rates reflect an annual proposed increase in revenues of approximately 11.54% to Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc.  The estimated amount of annual increase per customer class is as follows:  Residential GS: $ 3,539,053, 15.8%; Small Non-Residential GS: $ 593,368, 9.2%; Large Non-Residential GS: $ 668,718, 7.3%; Interruptible:  $ 0, 0%; On-System Transportation: $ 261,259, 6.3%; Off-System Transportation: $ 253,030,7.4%. The average monthly bill for each customer class to which the proposed rates will apply will increase approximately as follows:

Notice is further given that any corporation, association, body politic or person with a substantial interest in the matter may by written request, within thirty (30) days after publication of the notice of the proposed rate changes, request to intervene.  The motion shall be submitted to the Public Service Commission, 211 Sower Boulevard, P. O. Box 615, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601, and shall set forth the grounds for the request, including the status and interest of the party.  Intervention may be granted beyond the thirty (30) day period for good cause shown.  Any person who has been granted intervention may obtain copies of the application and any other filings made by the utility by contacting Emily P.
