NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE
In accordance with the provisions of KRS 350.093, notice is hereby given that Davenport Coal Company, LLC, P. O. Box 856, Jellico, TN 37762, has applied for a combined Phase II and III bond release of Permit No. 918-0401, which was last issued on 1/04/2014. This application covers an area of 25.3 acres located approximately three miles east of Lot in Whitley County.
The permit area is approximately 0.6 mile northeast of Lot-Mud Creek Road’s junction Doc Siler Road and located 0.1 mile south of Sulfur Spring Church. The latitude is 36° 36’ 32”, the longitude is 84° 02’ 01”.
The cash and surety bonds now in effect total $33,900.00, of which 100 percent is requested to be included in this phase of bond release.
Reclamation work performed includes: As of August 20, 2010, the mine site has been backfilled to the approved post mining slope, and seeded and mulched according to the revegetation plan. Trees were planted in March 2011.
This is the final advertisement of the application. Written comments, objections, and requests for a public hearing must be submitted to the Cabinet at: Director, Division of Mine Reclamation & Enforcement, 300 Sowder Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601, by September 9, 2016.
A public hearing has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on September 12, 2016, at the Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 E. Cumberland Ave., Middlesboro, KY 40965. This hearing will be canceled if the Cabinet does not receive a request in writing for the public hearing by September 9, 2016.
NOTICE OF BOND RELEASE

HWY 25W, Williamsburg, KY 40769 has applied for a Phases I Bond Release on Increments 3 and 5 of Permit Number 918-0466. The application covers an area of Approximately 499.1 acres of surface area located approximately 2.5 miles South of Pearl, KY and 1 mile south of the confluence of Wheeler Creek and Tiny Branch in Whitley County. The permit area is approximately .5 miles west of the intersection of Hwy. 190 and Tiny Branch Spur. The latitude is 36° 36’ 27”. The longitude is 83° 56’ 30”.
The bond now in effect is: Increment 3 – Two letters of credit in the amount of $32,450 and The Kentucky Bond Pool in the amount of $156,300. Increment 5 – $4,500 Cash.
Reclamation work performed includes: Backfilling, grading, fertilizing, seeding and mulching.
Written comments, objections or requests for a public or informal conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Field Services, #2 Hudson Hollow, Frankfort, KY 40601, by September 9, 2016.

A public hearing on the application has been scheduled for September 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, KY 409651-229. The hearing will be cancelled if no request for hearing or informal Conference is received by September 9, 2016.
NOTICE TO WHITLEY COUNTY TAXPAYERS
Kay Schwartz, Whitley County Clerk, pursuant to KRS 424.130, and the Whitley County Fiscal Court, announces that the 2015 Delinquent Real Property Tax Bills (Certificates of Delinquency) will be published in the News Journal Newspaper on August 17, 2016.
The list of Certificates of Delinquency is also available for public inspection during the hours of 7:30 am – 6:00 pm on Mondays and 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Tuesdays through Fridays, at the Whitley County Clerk’s office located at 200 Main St. (Courthouse) Room 2, Williamsburg, KY. This list may also be inspected on the Software Management, LLC website at kydtax.smllc.us.
The tax sale will be held on September 20, 2016 beginning at 9:00 am. All interested participants must register with the Whitley County Clerk’s office by the close of business on September 12, 2016.
Please contact the Whitley County Clerk’s office if you need additional information about the tax sale registration process. Taxpayers can continue to pay their delinquent tax bills to the Whitley County Clerk’s office anytime prior to the tax sale. Some delinquencies – although they have been advertised – will be excluded from the tax sale in accordance with the provisions of KRS 134.504(10)(b).
