PUBLIC NOTICE:

The Housing Authority of Williamsburg has developed documents related to the Annual Agency Plan “Process” and Capital Fund Program budgets for Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2017 in compliance with current HUD regulations. It is available for review at the Authority’s Office located at 600 Brush Arbor Road, Williamsburg, KY. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30AM and 4:30PM. A public hearing has been scheduled for June 20th, 2017 at the Authority’s office, located at 600 Brush Arbor Road, Williamsburg, KY, at 11:00 AM.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

Pursuant to Application Number 918-0450, Operator Change

In accordance with 405 KAR 8:010, notice is hereby given that Mountainside Coal Co., Inc., 7692 South Highway 25W, Williamsburg, KY 40769 intends to revise permit number 918-0450 to change the operator. The operator presently approved in the permit is the permittee. The new operator will be Tackett Creek Mining, Inc., 111 Mill Creek Road, Pathfork, KY 40863.

The operation is located 2.5 miles South of Pearl in Whitley County. The operation is approximately 0.8 miles West from Highway 190 junction with General Lowe Road and located 0.33 miles East of Buffalo Creek. The operation is located on the Eagan U.S.G.S. 7 ½ minute quadrangle map at latitude 36° 35’ 39”, and longitude is 83° 56’ 15”.

The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue; Middlesboro, KY 40965. Written comments or objections must be filed with the Director, Division of Mine Permits, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. All comments or objections must be received within fifteen (15) days of today’s date.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MINE

Pursuant to Application Number 918-0494

In accordance with KRS 350.055, notice is hereby given that JRL Coal, Inc., 966 Highway 990; Coalgood, KY 40818 has applied for a permit for a surface coal mining and reclamation operation affecting 242.74 acres located 2.2 miles Northwest of Jellico, TN in Whitley County.

The proposed operation is approximately 1.4 miles West from US 25W junction with Kensee Hollow Road and located on Pigeon Roost Creek. The Latitude is 36o 36’ 51”. The Longitude is 84o 08’ 51”.

The proposed operation is located on the Jellico West U.S.G.S. 7 1⁄2 minute quadrangle map. The operation will use the contour and auger/highwall miner method of surface mining. The surface area is owned by Shirley Davenport and Lorhen Martin.

The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement’s Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue; Middlesboro, KY 40965. Written comments, objections, or requests for a permit conference must be filed with the Director, Division of Permits, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.

Box 237, Williamsburg, Kentucky, on or before 2:00 p.m. local time on May 15, 2017 at which time bids will be opened and read aloud.   Bids will then be presented to the Fiscal Court at the regular scheduled meeting at 6:00 p.m. on May 16, 2017. All bids shall be marked “SURPLUS PROPERTY” on front of envelope.

The surplus property is available for inspection located at The Whitley County Detention Center, 1429 Hwy 92W,Williamsburg, KY 40769 and can be viewed during 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Payment from the recipient(s) awarded the Bid shall be made with the County Treasurer.

Removal of the vehicles/equipment shall be the responsibility of the recipient of the BID and shall have until 3:30 PM on May 22, 2017 to remove all vehicles or equipment.

Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.445 are absolutely prohibited.

No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for 60 days after the date the bids are opened. Any bid received after the time specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
