The Whitley County Board of Education is now accepting sealed bids for the following surplus weight equipment: Power Rack, Weight Bar, Exercise Bench &Dip Attachment (Quan. of 10 of these units), Weight Plate Tree, Curl Bar, Small Dumb Bell Rack, and Large Dumbbell Rack. Please visit the district website, www.whitley.kyschools.us to view pictures and a complete list of this equipment with item numbers.   Please contact Melissa Cheek at 606-549-7072 or Mike Harris at 606-549-6343to obtain a complete list of equipment and schedule a time between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to view the items. Your sealed bid must be labeled “Surplus Property Bid” and include the item number, the amount of your bid, along with your name, address, and phone number.   Submit your sealed bid to the Whitley County Board of Education at 300 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY 40769 during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Bid deadline is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Whitley County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. Successful bidder must remove items from the property by May 9, 2017.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Public Service Commission of Kentucky issued an order on April 7, 2017, scheduling a hearing to begin on May 9, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, at 211 Sower Boulevard in Frankfort, Kentucky, for the purpose of cross-examining witnesses of Kentucky Utilities Company (“KU”) and Intervenors in Case No. 2016-00370, which is the Application of KU for an Adjustment of Its Electric Rates and for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity. This hearing will be streamed live and may be viewed on the PSC website, psc.ky.gov.
