Lee Earl Sergent

Lee Earl Sergent, 76, of Brays Chapel Road in Williamsburg, KY., departed this life on January 5, 2023, at the Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.
He was born on July 5, 1946 to the late Homer Sergent and Naomi Middleton Sergent in Woodbine, KY.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Timothy Lee Sergent; four sisters, Sandra Cobb, Helen Rubbo, Bonnie Kay Phillips, and Glenda Curry; two brothers, Homer Darrell Sergent and Lonnie Petrey Sergent.
Lee was a US Army Veteran serving over seven years. He was a heavy equipment operator for US Steel.
Lee is survived by wife of over 39 years, Betty Sergent of Williamsburg, KY; one daughter, Wendy Wright of Seneca, SC; daughter-in-law, Susie Sergent of Williamsburg, KY; five grandchildren, Wesley Campbell Jr, Hailey Wright, Sadie Wright, Anthony Sergent and Brittany Rhodes; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine Campbell, Baylor Rhodes and one on the way; three sisters, Peggy Evans of Hamilton, OH., Halona West (Jack) of Williamsburg, KY, and Jessica Thompson (Brandon) of Williamsburg, KY; brother; Dillon Sargent (Brenda Brown) of Williamsburg, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be at 12:00 PM Monday, January 9, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Williamsburg, KY with Rev. Jerry Lewis and Trevor North officiating.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 88, at the Croley Funeral Home following the service.
Private interment will follow the service.
