Knox County Sheriff’s Department releases latest activity report

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following enforcement actions:
On June 10, 2019 Court Security Officer Jessie Smith arrested Martha Reeves age 63 of Gray, KY after she struck a man with her fist in Knox District Courtroom. She was charged with Assault-4th Degree and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 12, 2019 Deputy Hunter Luttrell arrested Alex Toothman age 20 of Artemus, KY on a Bell County Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 13, 2019 SGT Carl Frith received a call of two men loading property they did not own on a trailer at a residence on Little Indian Creek Road in Woodbine. After arriving and conducting an investigation, SGT Frith arrested Paul Sergent age 40 of Rockhold, KY charging him with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-over $500. He was also wanted on a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Assault-4th Degree and two counts of Contempt of Court charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
The second man ran off but has been identified and warrants have been taken.
On June 14, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Tip A Miller age 32 of Somerset, KY on a Hardin County Bench Warrant for a Contempt of Court charge. During the arrest Tip Miller attempted to flee on foot and became combative when he was apprehended. He was then charged with Fleeing or Evading Police-2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 14, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Shayne M Carl age 29 of Corbin, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Possession Controlled Substance-3rd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-shoplifting charges Shayne M Carl was also wanted on a Laurel County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition-shoplifting and a Pike County Bench Warrant for a Drug Court Violation. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 14, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Ben Joseph Rice age 24 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Criminal Trespass-2nd Degree and Assault-4th Degree and a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree charges. He was also wanted on a Bell County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on DUI and Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator License charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 15, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Tina G Jackson age 37 of Gray, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fines on Booster Seat Violation and Contempt of Court charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 15, 2019 SGT Carl Frith arrested Tabitha Duncan age 37 of Cannon, KY on a Knox County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on a Criminal Trespass-3rd Degree charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Amanda Nicole Frye age 34 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property-under $10,000. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 16, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones responded to a complaint of a naked man riding a moped on Highway 6 in Barbourville. The naked man was in a neighbor’s yard and would not leave. When Deputy Jones arrived, he observed the naked man on the neighbor’s front porch. Deputy Jones arrested Bandy D Stamper age 41 of Barbourville, KY charging him with Indecent Exposure-2nd Degree, Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place, Criminal Trespassing-3rd Degree and Disorderly Conduct. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 17, 2019 Deputy Keith Liford arrested Danny Wayne Hubbard JR age 28 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Terroristic Threatening-3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 17, 2019 at approximately 3:10 pm Deputy Jones arrested Christopher Allen Sanders age 47 of Gray, KY after a traffic stop on US 25E in Gray. He was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Careless Driving and Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 17, 2019 Deputy Bobby Jones arrested Amanda Nicole Frye age 34 of Barbourville, KY on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property-under $10,000. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
On June 18, 2019 Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Robin Honeycutt age 39 of Pineville, KY on four Bell County Bench Warrants for failure to pay the fines on Theft by Unlawful Taking-shoplifting, Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance-3rd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Promoting Contraband-2nd Degree, Contempt of Court Parent to Send Child to School and Receiving Stolen Property-under $500. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
