Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast is Thursday

First Baptist Church Pastor Ande Myers will be the keynote speaker Thursday morning for the Williamsburg Kiwanis National Day of Prayer Breakfast.
Rev. Ande Myers will be the keynote speaker Thursday during the 17th Annual Williamsburg Kiwanis Club National Day of Prayer Pancake Breakfast.
Myers, who is pastor of First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, is a minister, a father, a runner, a coach and a musician in addition to being a former Williamsburg Kiwanis Club president.
The breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. at the Williamsburg Tourism and Convention Center off Exit 11.
Tickets are $10 for adults. Children, who are ages six and under, eat free.
Proceeds from the event support area children through Kiwanis projects and scholarships.
“This again is a major fund raiser for our club so that we may fund the different projects for the children of Williamsburg,” said Williamsburg Kiwanis Club President Alvin Sharpe.
The public is invited to attend the event.
Sponsors of the breakfast include Huddle House, Top Choice Custom Meats and the Williamsburg Tourism Commission.
Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
