Kentucky man suing local Wal-Mart for shelving mishap
An Independence man claims in a recent lawsuit that his vacation got cut short due to an accident at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Williamsburg when a shelf fell striking him in the head.
Greg Eubank filed suit Nov. 9 in the Whitley Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. alleging that the injury caused a serious cut to his head that required stitches and caused him to cut short his vacation because he had to seek dental care to repair a tooth that was chipped during the incident, according to the lawsuit.
As a result of the incident Eubanks suffered a large amount of blood loss from the injury and suffered severe headaches for days that followed.
According to the suit, Eubanks is suing for three counts of negligence, including improper maintenance of premises, improper maintenance of displays and the results the ended in his injury.
