June Cornelius Croley
June Cornelius Croley, 90, of Tenth Street in Williamsburg passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her residence.
Born on June 3, 1927 in Bon Jellico, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Cornelius and Bessie Steely Cornelius.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Willard Croley and two brothers: Herman Cornelius and H.T Cornelius, special Uncle and Aunt John and Gladys Steely.
June graduated as salutatorian of Black Star High School, Black Star, KY.
She and her husband were charter members of Highland Park Baptist Church, Williamsburg. June worked for many years as Whitley County Deputy PVA.
She is survived by three children; Michael Croley (Erika), of Fort Myers, FL. Sandra Denney (Darrell), of Knoxville, TN. Debra Croley, of Williamsburg; five grandchildren, Stephen Croley (Tanya), of LaFollette, TN Brandon Croley (Dana), Clearwater, FL. Laura Denney Ward (Darius), of Oviedo, FL. Eleanor Croley, of Copperas Cove, TX. Emily Claire Croley, of Louisville; seven great grandchildren; Mycah Baker (Zach), Drew Croley, Camden Ward, Tanner Ward, Camryn Croley, Will Croley, Dristen Ward; brother; Huey Cornelius (Marjorie) of Lexington; sister, Pat Brumley (Bruce) of Lexington; sister-in-law; Hallie Cornelius of Whitting, IN. numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service were held Saturday, December 2, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Cornelius officiating. Interment was in Highland Park Cemetery Davis Addition.
