Juanita Bowman Hill
Juanita Bowman Hill, age 93, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
She was born on June 9, 1928 in Popular Creek (Whitley), Kentucky to the late Steve Lawson and the late Clara Cecil Lawson.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Lynn Bowman; husbands, John Keith Bowman, Joe Adkins, and J.R. Hill; sisters, Nora Lawson, and Verenda Sharp; brothers, Arville Lawson, Steve Lawson, Jr., Nolan Lawson, and Noble Lawson; grandchildren, Deadre Renee Bowman, and Tracy Lynn Bowman.
She is survived by her four children, Steve Bowman (Margarett) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Lonnie Ray Bowman (Judy) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Donna Partin of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Alan Keith Bowman of Williamsburg, Kentucky; step-daughter, Melony McGill of Macon, Georgia; 23 grandchildren, Eric, Cindy, Regina, Michelle, Daryle, Shonda, Ricky, William, John, Denver, Paul, Lisa, Daniel, Donny, Daniel, David, Diane, Connie, Tammy, Tyler, Kristen, Toni, and Shelby; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Sears (Sam) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three brothers, Roy Lawson (Fern) of Milford, Ohio, Truman Lawson (Linda) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Phillip Lawson (Mary) of Corbin, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was a member at Mt. Ash Baptist Church for over 70 years. She served as a teacher, cry warrior, choir member, provided meals, and overseer of the Benevolence Fund.
She loved spending time with her family, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, at 4:00 PM, at the Mt. Ash Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, at the Mt. Ash Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, March 17, at 10:00 AM at Lot Cemetery – Mud Creek.
