John Russell Johnson

John Russell Johnson, 58, of Payne Road, Jamestown, departed this life on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

He was born on October 9, 1958 in Williamsburg, to John Johnson and Christine (Davis) Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Johnson and his wife, Mary Daniel Johnson.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Christine Johnson of Russell Springs; son John Mitchell Johnson of Jamestown; four sisters, Cathy Tackett of Williamsburg, Elizabeth Ann Lawson of Rockholds, Lisa Gail Bowman of Pleasant View, and Faye Swank of Woodbine; two brothers, Jerry Davis (Georgie) of Rockholds and Darrell Glenn Johnson (Wilma) of Rockholds; many nieces, nephews; and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Milby officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the John Johnson Family Cemetery at Jacksfork.
