John F. “Chico” Frazier
John F. “Chico” Frazier, a loving husband and father, devoted grandfather, loyal friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the age of 61, at Baptist Health, Corbin.
He was born on December 17, 1955 in Louisville, to Richard E. and Mary Jane Frazier.
John worked in all areas of construction, but found his passion in masonry. He loved showing off his work on projects all over the state. He was an avid music lover and musician, learning to play the drums from his brother, Jimmy, at the age of 9. He was the type of person who never met a stranger, was generous to a fault, and had a natural ability to make everyone laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Shelton Frazier; children, Shawna Pelayo (Mike) of IN; John C. Frazier (Melissa) of IN; Aaron Frazier of IN; Amy Frazier of IN; Rebekah Durham (John) of Williamsburg; Josh Sizemore (Connie) of Corbin; grandchildren, Dustin Whitaker, Michael Pelayo, Cameron Frazier, Cayenne Frazier all of IN; James Fox (Ashley) of Corbin; Justin Hammonds (Brooke) of London; John L. Durham and Rachel Durham of Williamsburg. He was especially close to his youngest granddaughter, Raleigh Kade Durham, and grandson, Jacob Durham, his best friend; and three great grandchildren, Izabella Fox, Khloe Fox, and Ayden Hammonds; siblings; Jimmy Crawford (Sharon) of IN; Rosemarie O’Bryan (Gene) of Louisville; Richard E. Frazier, Jr. (Judy) of IN; Sandra Rountree (Larry) of Lexington; and Brian Frazier of Louisville; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, along with many friends to mourn his passing.
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life was held at Croley Funeral Home on Monday, March 27.
