John David Roller
John David Roller, 96, of Keswick Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, TN.
He was born on October 20, 1920 in Williamsburg, to the late William Murphy Roller and Susie (Goley) Roller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella (Lawson) Roller; two brothers, William and George; six sisters, Allie, Anna, Clara, Lora, Lillie Ruth and Slathe.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Archie David Roller of Williamsburg; sister, Goldie Ferrel of Spencer, TN, nephew raised as a brother, Virgil Rickett of Indianapolis, IN; special niece, Janie Lawson (Rev. Ewell) of Williamsburg host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Monday, November 21, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ewell “Jamup” Lawson officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Pet Lawson Cemetery on Redhill in the Big Cane Creek Community.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
