John Angel

John Angel, 79, of Newcomb, TN went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2018 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Iris Angel; parents, Marion Alford Smiddy and Betty Ellen Murray Smiddy; sister, Vina Sue Smiddy; uncle, Dave Smiddy.

John is survived by sons; Johnny Wayne Angel, David Arnold Angel and wife Sabrina Rena Angel; daughters, Ramona Owens and husband Scott Owens, Lana Renee Bowlin and husband Marty Bowlin; grandsons, Shawn Dalton Moses and wife JeniAnn Moses, John Austin Moses and wife Alyssa Moses, Brandon Duncan and Korey Hopeck; granddaughters,

Kendra Ridenour and husband Thomas Ridenour, Joni Duncan, Emilea Michelle Angel; great-grandchildren, Sophia Renee Huddleston, Allison Renee Moses, Madison Grace Moses, Bryce Colten Moses, Blakely Iris Moses, Paislee Lane Ridenour, Remington Grant Ridenour; sisters, Molly Cox of Jellico, TN, Donna Withers of Cincinnati, OH, twin sister, Janie Jenkins of St. Louis, MI; brothers, Jim Smiddy of Lafollette, TN, Bobby Smiddy of Jacksboro, TN, Eddie Elliott of Covington, KY; special friends, Bobby Buckner and Sonny Thomas.

Serving as pallbearers were Shawn Dalton Moses, John Austin Moses, Brandon Duncan, Thomas Ridenour, Brent Johnson and Zakk Voyles.

The funeral service was held Sunday, October 7, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, with Rev. Francis Dople Jr., Rev. Don Lay and Rev. Steve Morgan officiating.

Interment was held Monday October 8, in the Douglas Cemetery at Wooldridge, TN with military honors provided by American Legion Post 154.

The Llewellyn Funeral Home was honored to serve the family.
