Jincy Mahan McKeehan
Jincy Ellen Mahan McKeehan, 82, of. Bryant’s Store, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
She was a daughter of the late John Smith Mahan and Nellie Mae Bennett Mahan born on July 18, 1935 in Whitley County.
On November 24, 1952, she was united in marriage to Easom McKeehan Jr. and to this union three sons were born. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her entire life to making sure her family was safe, healthy and happy.
Granny Jincy, as she was known to many, was a member of the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church where she attended faithfully and worshiped her Savior with many of her family and friends. She was a former employee of the Knox County General Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Chester Mahan and Elmer Mahan; sisters, Arzella Mahan, Nola Mahan and Mary Ann Mahan Taylor; father-in-law, Easom McKeehan; mother-in-law, Leona Miller McKeehan; sisters-in-law, Hazel Mahan and Gladys Mckeehan Reeves; brothers-in-law, Rev. Bill Taylor, Bob Reeves, Rabb Matlock, Walter McKeehan and H. D. Powers and two very special daughters-in-law, Connie Sue Huddleston McKeehan and Brenda Kay Warren McKeehan.
She leaves behind her loving family, her husband of 64 years, Easom McKeehan Jr; sister, Shirley Partin and husband, Rev. Johnny Partin, of Siler; brothers, Vester Mahan and wife, Annis, of Burlington and Edward Mahan and wife, Betty Sue, of Corbin; sisters-in-law, Thelma Powers and Hazel Matlock both of Bryant’s Store; brother-in-law, Charles McKeehan and wife, Rita, of Shepherdsville; three sons, David Allen McKeehan and girlfriend, Theresa Crosman, Gary Wayne “Ted” McKeehan and wife, Shirley, and Larry Edward McKeehan and wife, Betty, all of Bryant’s Store; grandchildren, Steve McKeehan and wife, Joy, Lisa McKeehan Lindsay and husband, Dave, Melanie McKeehan Howard and husband, Michael, Misty McKeehan and Keo Cofield, Malena Beth McKeehan Jones and husband, Chris, Teddi McKeehan, Makhyla McKeehan and Marcus McKeehan and wife, Lori; step grandchildren, Perry Joe Jackson and Justin Jackson and wife, Brittany; great grandchildren, Brittany McKeehan Foley and husband, Clinton, Jordan McKeehan, Kobi Harris, Kyson Cofield, Jacob and Weston Lindsay, Faith and Hope McKeehan, Spencer, Hunter and Kennedy Howard, Hayden, Harrison, and Holden Jones, Myan McKeehan, Deante Wilson and Max McKeehan; step great grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Zachary and Hunter Jackson; great-great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Emma and Reid Foley. Many nieces, nephews and other family and friends are also mourning the loss.
Her funeral service was conducted at the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, November 4 with Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. Darrel Bargo, Rev. Ronnie Rose and Rev. Johnny Partin officiating.
She was laid to rest in the McKeehan Family Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Marcus McKeehan, Steve McKeehan, Jacob Lindsay, Kobi Harris, Michael Howard, Chris Jones, Dave Lindsay and Clinton Foley. Honorary bearers were Harold Senters, Bill Rhodes, Terry McCreary, George Peace, Jay Hampton, Curt Branum, her nephews and her church family at the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
