Jimmie L. Watson

Jimmie L. Watson, 69, of Mason, OH formerly of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, July 20, 2018 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born January 29, 1949 in Williamsburg, to William Jennings and Pauline (nee Johnson) Watson.

Jimmie was a welder by trade. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and turtle hunting.

If you knew Jimmie, you know one of his best traits was his ability to argue! He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents William and Pauling Watson; a sister, Joyce Brown; and twin grandsons, Michael Jennings and Matthew James Watson.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Betty (nee Crist) Watson; son, Jeff (Kimberly) Watson; daughter, Vicki (Wayne) Albertson; grandchildren, Austin Watson, Madison Watson, Katie (Brandon) Cook, Douglas Schubert, Cory Albertson; Haley (Donald) Bueller; great-grandchildren, Brayton Cook, Dustin Cook. Kara Cook, Jaxen Schubert and Adylen Schubert; siblings, Linda (Truman) Lawson, Tony (Karen) Watson, Sandra (Gary) Leach, Leon Watson, Billie Watson, David Watson, Gary (Lisa) Watson and Donnie (Blanche) Watson; also many close friends.

Jim always said you were lucky to have one good friend in life, he was very fortunate to have many; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.

The funeral service was held Friday, July 27, at Mt. Ash Baptist Church, with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.

Interment will be in the Watson-Lawson Cemetery.
