J. M. Meadors

On June 13, 1926 J. M. Meadors was born to Rev. James Melton Meadors and Martha Strunk Meadors in Whitley County, KY.

On June 6, 1952 J. M. Meadors and Lorene Prewitt were united in marriage in Jellico, TN, and to that union were born five children; Pamela, Randall, Sandra, Roger, and Raleigh.

On September 4, 2019 God sent a host of angels to carry J. M. home to Heaven after a long battle of illness.

He was surrounded by his loving wife of 67 years and his children as he departed this life.

He was a member and deacon of Pleasant Hill Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene Meadors of Williamsburg, KY; five children, Pam Prewitt, Randall Meadors (Berniece), Sandra Lawson (Ken), Roger Meadors (Vicki), Raleigh Meadors (Tammy) all of Williamsburg, KY; seven grandchildren, Nicole Finley (David), Kendra Lawson, Derrick Meadors (Angie), Megan Rose (Corey), Brittany Vance (David), Brent Meadors, Emily Jasperson (Kurtis); 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Rich of Williamsburg, KY, Flonnie Ferguson of Corbin, KY; very special family friend, Sharon Cox of Corbin, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Sunday, September 8, at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Cox and Rev. Hoyt Caddell Jr. officiating.

Interment was in the J. M. Meadors Family Cemetery.
