It’s time to vote!
I’m back, maybe not better than ever, but I am back none the less. After a brief three-day vacation, I am geared up and ready to cover my first ever (second if you count the May primary) general election. There is a lot at stake in this one and all I can tell people is to get out and vote. I cannot stress how important it is to get out and express one of our greatest God-given rights.
On of the most aggravating questions people ask this time of year is ‘Who are you voting for?’ News-flash, you don’t to tell them because odds are, it will spark some sort of debate or argument that will only end in a bad way. The best thing to do, unless you’re looking for a fight, is to just not talk about it.
As for my opinion and who you will vote for, I don’t really care, but the best thing to do is to follow your heart. Don’t vote for who your friends tell you to, or who the TV and media have pushed in your face for countless hours in the past six to eight months.
Go with the man or woman that you feel best about.
To all the politicians, good luck at the polls and to the voters, stay calm if the lines tend to get long.
We’ll see you all on Wednesday for all the election results in the News Journal.
