Indicted Corbin drug ring dealt in ‘unusual’ drugs, police say
A Corbin police investigation into an alleged drug ring located between Corbin Central Primary School and Corbin Middle School has turned up some drugs that police aren’t used to seeing, including: Ecstasy, LSD, mushrooms and DMT.
Capt. Coy Wilson, who was the investigating officer, admits that he had to look up what DMT was because he had never encountered it before during his six-year career. It is a hallucinogen.
"It is real unusual. It’s the first time that I have ever dealt with any of those. No one here had ever fooled with those either," Wilson noted.
Wilson said that he learned about the alleged drug operation, which was located on Fourth and Fifth streets, from an informant.
