Ho, ho, ho!
So, here we are just a few days away from Christmas and I have to say I am getting in the Christmas mood. It seems like every year it takes me a while to get my holiday juices pumping, but once it hits me, there is no stopping it.
I guess have a five-year-old to fuel the fire, you ted to get a little more excited than you had in year’s past.
Either way, I am taking time out to write this blog to try and encourage all of our readers to try and do something special for someone this holiday season.
It may be anything from giving to the needy to just a smile that may make someone’s day, but I guarantee you that if you happen to make someone’s day better, you will not regret it, I promise you.
If you are looking for a more hands on way to be a help during the Christmas holiday, the Lions Club is going to be delivering baskets on the morning of Christmas Eve. Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to a breakfast at David’s Steakhouse at 6 a.m. the morning of Christmas Eve and from there, everyone will go to the Corbin Vocational School to load the baskets and assign routes for those who will be driving.
The last thing I want to say is that I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas as well as a wonderful New Year.
Thanks for reading the News Journal.
