High School Football Results – 9/11/15
It was a tough night for the Corbin Redhounds, who hosted the Danville Admirals Friday on Hall of Fame night. Just after the Ads scored the first points of the evening, lightning and heavy rains delayed the game for over an hour. Once play resumed, Danville picked up where they left off, going on to win by a final score of 20-0. The loss drops Corbin to 3-1 on the season. Due to the weather delay and rain-soaked conditions, the recognition of the new Hall of Fame class at halftime had to be cancelled. The Hounds will be back in action at Campbell Field next Friday, Sept 18, when they host the Southwestern Warriors.
The Whitley County Colonels had two weeks to prepare for their road trip to West Jessamine, and they were able to take care of business there, winning 40-14 and improving to 2-1 on the season. The Colonels were led by another strong performance from senior quarterback Luke Woods. Whitley will return home next week to face the visiting Bell County Bobcats.
And the Lynn Camp Wildcats were able to pick up their third win in a row Friday, defeating Berea at home 47-15. They will attempt to make it four in a row next week when they welcome in the Jenkins Cavaliers.
