High School Football Results – 10/23

The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets enjoyed their Homecoming and Senior Night Friday, defeating the visiting Lynn Camp Wildcats 53-8 to move to 3-5, 2-1 on the season. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 4-6, 0-3.

Next week Williamsburg will wrap up their regular season with a road trip to face the Yellow Jackets of Middlesboro. Lynn Camp will have a week 10 bye.

Also enjoying their Homecoming Friday night was the Corbin Redhounds, who defeated Casey County 40-0 to improve to 6-3, 3-0 on the year. Next week they will host the Knox Central Panthers at Campbell Field for Senior Night.

Finally, the Whitley County Colonels were able to make the long road trip to Letcher Central Friday and come away with a 42-27 district win over the Cougars, moving their overall record to 5-4, 2-2. Next week they will finish up the 2015 regular season at home against the Leslie County Eagles.
