Helen Sue Brown Grubb
Helen Sue Brown Grubb, 72, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away April 11, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Disa Bingham Brown, born on October 20th, 1949 at Scalf, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Brown Wheeler, and Brenda Sue Brown; four brothers, Lewis Brown Jr,, Clifford Brown and wife Wanda Buchanan Brown, Raymond Brown, and Ricky Brown.
She worked for the United States Postal Service in Corbin, KY for over 30 years and retired as a city carrier. She loved her work family and her mail customers. She enjoyed going shopping with her sisters, fixing food for family events, and going out to eat with friends and family.
She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandkids. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was united in marriage to Albert Grubb and to this union a son was born.
Survivors include her son, Chris Grubb and wife Kristin of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Majorie Boggs and Shiree Young both of Barbourville; four brothers, Willard Brown and wife Ruth of Piqua, OH, Randall Brown of Barbourville, Rodney Brown and wife Darla, of Corbin, Tim Brown and wife, Lisa, of Bowling Green, KY; sister-in-law, Sue Brown of Barbourville; brother-in-law, Mike Wheeler of Macomb, MI; two grandchildren, Haley and Michael Grubb; a special beloved aunt, Virginia Eves; and other loved ones and dear friends to mourn her passing. She will be missed by all.
A memorial service was Friday, April 15, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rickie Peebles officiating.
