Helen Jean Carpenter

Helen Jean Carpenter, age 89, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the St. Joseph in London, Kentucky.
She was born on June 16, 1933 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Charlie Lawson and Flora (Siler) Lawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Flora (Siler) Lawson; husband, Otis Carpenter; sons, Ray Carpenter and Glenn Carpenter; granddaughter, Marlana Faulkner; son-in-law, David Faulkner; sister, Mary Evalee Wilhoit; and brothers, Walt Lawson and Tab Lawson.
Helen is survived by her children, Willard Carpenter (Debbie) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Joyce Faulkner of Williamsburg, Patsy Chu (Nelson) of Boston, Massachusetts, and Ricky Carpenter of Williamsburg, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jamie Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Beronica Braden, Samantha Arnold, William Faulkner, Clayton Faulkner, Christopher Chu, and Tiffany Chu; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. C. Lawson of Jellico, Tennessee and Roy Lawson of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 16, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Carpenter Cemetery on Hwy 904.
