Harold Thomas “Cotton” Jackson
Harold Thomas “Cotton” Jackson, 91, passed away at home in Corbin on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Born in Corbin, he was the son of the late James L. Jackson and Rose Ann Carmine Jackson.
He was a retired mechanic for the Lexington Army Blue Grass Depot and Owner/Operator of Tri-County Tire Shop. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jewel V. Ellison Jackson; brother Nolin “Jock” Jackson; and sister Ruth Poole.
He is survived by his sons Dennis Jackson and wife Judy of Tennessee and James Jackson and wife Debra of Corbin; grandchildren Paige Moore, Brandon Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Megan Branum, Ben Larrabee, and James Larrabee; great-grandchildren Chris Jackson, Sydney Moore, Taylor Moore, Ian Jackson, Reese Moore, and Nathaniel Jackson; and brothers Clyde “Spike” Jackson and Charles Jackson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 10, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Dr. Max Cox officiating.
Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery with military graveside honors by the American Legion Post 88.
