Harlin “Bud” Goforth
Harlin “Bud” Goforth, 86, husband of Jenny (Lawson) Goforth of London, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
He was the father of Reuben Goforth and wife Rhonda of London, and Henry Goforth and wife Myra and Ora Mae Roark all of Corbin; the step-father of Mary Lou Gregory and husband Loman of London; the brother of Maxie Fentress of Kingsport, TN and Florence McNew of Lily; the grandfather of Becky Roark, Roger Roark, Jeremiah Goforth, Jonathan Goforth, Wessly Goforth, Robbie Goforth, Carla Goforth Clouse, and Joanna Goforth; the step-grandfather of A.J. Jones and Christie Maggard. He was also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Juanita Bowling and Ruby Goforth; by his parents, Preston and Clara (McFarland) Goforth; by his grandson, Joshua Adam Goforth; by his step daughters Jackie, Debbie, and Mary Jean Helton; by his siblings Richard, George, Bill, Cy, Lizzie, Mae, Myrtle, Nora, and Cora.
He was a member of Moores Chapel Baptist Church.
The funeral service for Harlin “Bud” Goforth was conducted Saturday, June 1, in the London Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Cloud and Bradley Goforth officiating.
Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Corbin. ]Pallbearers were Roger Roark, Robbie Goforth, Jeremiah Goforth, Wessly Goforth, Jonathan Goforth, and Reuben Gorforth.
Laurel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
