Hammons-Pratt announce forthcoming marriage

Penny and Johnny Hammons of Corbin would like to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Lee Hammons, to Brandon Tyler Pratt, son of Melissa and Todd Pratt of Rockholds.  Whitney is the granddaughter of Mary and Earl Pennington, Opal Lee Hammons, and the late Coy Boyd Hammons, all of Corbin.  Brandon is the grandson of Mercedes and Lonnie Stevens of Rockholds and Eugene “Boney” and Tillie Pratt of Hazard. He also is the great-grandson of Mrs. Dora Hayes and the late Junior Hayes of Meadow Creek and Mrs. Rella Stevens and the late John Stevens  of Corbin.

Whitney is a 2007 graduate of Corbin High School and Brandon is a 2006 graduate of Whitley Co. High School. Both are currently attending Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond where Whitney is majoring in elementary education and Brandon is majoring in landscape management and minoring in business administration. After a honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, they will be residing in Richmond, Ky.

The wedding will take place 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Bacon Creek Baptist Church on Bacon Creek Road in Corbin. A reception will follow immediately at the Tattersall Community Building in Tattersall Estates in Corbin.
