Gray woman allegedly on drugs while fighting woman, threatening deputies
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies say a Gray woman was under the influence of drugs when she allegedly got into a fight with another woman and then threatened to kill deputies and their families after they arrested her Tuesday night.
According to Sheriff John Root, deputies arrested 33-year-old Jessica Collette at a location on Douglas Blvd. in Lily.
Deputies were called to the scene about 6:15 p.m. in response to a complaint of a fight involving two women.
Root stated that when deputies arrested Collette she began to curse and scream at the other woman.
“This subject continued to curse and make threats to the other involved party and threated to kill deputies and their families,” Root said of Collette. “At the detention facility this subject continued to curse and kick at deputies and jail staff.
Collette was charged with fourth-degree assault – domestic violence, second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication – controlled substances and third-degree terroristic threatening and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Collette is being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
