Gray man involved in fatal wreck in Monticello
A Gray man was driving one of two tractor-trailer trucks involved in a fatal three-vehicle collision Wednesday morning in Wayne County.
Kentucky State Police reported that 20-year-old Taylor N. Brinson was killed when she pulled her 2000 Ford Mustang out into the path of the Peterbilt commercial truck driven by 52-year-old Bruce W. Helton of Gray, which was traveling west on Ky. 90 at the intersection with Frazier Chapel Road in Monticello.
The impact sent Brinson’s Mustang across the centerline where it was struck a second time by the tractor-trailer driven by 62-year-old Jerry M. Worley of Monticello.
Brinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police reported that Brinson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to have been factors in the crash.
