Gerald Richard Jones

Gerald Richard Jones, 70, of Cardinal Heights Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on August 17, 1948 in Sidney, OH to the late Oren Jones and Stella (Hughes) Jones.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Everett Jones; sister, Ina Compton; an infant brother and his wife Debra Jones.
Jerry attended Emlyn Church of God with his wife and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam era.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda Jones of Williamsburg; two children, Michelle Jones and Michael Jones (Ronnie) all of Painesville, OH; granddaughter, Kayla Freil of Painesville; step-granddaughter, Alexis Kinney of Painesville; great grandson, Teighan Graves of Painesville; two stepsons, Rev. Kenny Carr (Rhonda) of Williamsburg and Russell Carr (Jeana) of Corbin; four step-grandchildren, Maranda, Makenzie, Haley and Macie Carr; two sisters, Janice Rathburn and Shelby Lawrence (Homer) of Princeton, West Virginia; two brothers, Don Jones (Barb) of Elyria, OH and Eddie Jones (Carol) of East Lake, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, at Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Carr and Rev. Harold Long officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 88 of Corbin.
