Georgia G. Powers

Georgia G. Powers, age 97, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, March 31, 2023 at her daughters home surrounded by family.
Georgia was born on August 13, 1925 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Drew Carr and Della (Lawson) Carr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Drew and Della (Lawson) Carr; husband, John Everett Powers; sons, Billy Harold Powers and Bobby Joe Powers; daughter, Norma Roberts; siblings, Arvil Clayton Carr, Dephie Huddleston, George R. Carr, J. W. Carr, Ivalean Parker, Glen Carr, Roy Lee Carr, and Marjorie Dean Carr; and son-in-laws, Lowell Roberts and Roger Maxey.
Georgia was the oldest member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, since 1937.
Georgia is survived by her daughter, Helen J. Maxey of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Mike Maxey (Allison) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Tonya Maxey of Norwood, Ohio, and Briana Roberts of Norwood, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Erin Maxey, Cody Maxey, and Nate Maxey; one great-great-grandchild, Aubrey Purdie; sister, Betty Elam (Allen) of Milford, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Monday, April 3, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 3, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Raymond Parks officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
