Gentry-Howard wed
Naresha Flowers Gentry and Donald Lee Howard III were married at seven o’clock in the evening on September 11, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, Lexington, Ky.
The Reverend Kelly Jennings, brother-in-law of the bride, officiated the ceremony. The music was provided by Todd Tyler, Katie Feola, and Dan Tilford.
The bride is the daughter of Kate Flowers of Lexington and Reggie and Linda Gentry of Georgetown. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Howard Jr. of Lexington.
Nakada Jennings, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Lucy Gentry, sister-in-law of bride, and Lindsey Oschwald, friend of the bride. Ella Rose Gentry, the bride’s niece, served as flower girl. Matthew Howard served as his brother’s Best Man. Groomsmen were Josh Johnson, Jason Topolski, and Shane Gentry, brother of the bride. Brett Barton and Chris Howard, cousins of the groom, served as ushers. Jack Gentry, nephew of the bride, served as Ring Bearer.
A dinner and dance followed at Marriott Griffin Gate. On September 10, Mr. and Mrs. Don Howard Jr. hosted a rehearsal dinner at Lansdowne Signature Club.
The bride is a graduate of Scott County High School and the University of Kentucky. The groom is a graduate of Lexington Christian Academy and Sullivan University. They are both employed by Marriott International. After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple is living in Lexington.
The groom is the grandson of Jennie Lou Barton-Wesche and the late Henry “Babe” Barton of Williamsburg.
