General McArthur “Mac” Lamb

General McArthur “Mac” Lamb, age 79 of Newcomb, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at the U. T. Medical Center.
He was born June 27, 1942 in Newcomb, Tennessee. Mac was a member of Newcomb Baptist Church.
Mac is preceded in death by son, David McArthur Lamb; and mother, Edna Lamb Douglas.
He is survived by wife, Irene Smith Lamb; son, Chris Lamb and wife Renee; daughter, Misty Lamb Douglas and Clayton; grandchildren, Valorie and Dusty Marlow, Chris “Bub” and Amber Lamb, Felisha and Zack Baxter, Alex Lamb and Lexus Clark. Dalton and Kaitlin Douglas. David Douglas, Emorie Douglas, Declan Lamb, Crystal and Gordon Black; great-grandchildren, Dakota Marlow, Khloe Marlow, Logan Baxter, Vienna Lamb, Parker Lamb, Paxton Lamb, Jaxon Lamb, Amelia Douglas, Reyna Douglas, and Cheyenne Black; daughters-in-law, Treina Lamb and Becky and Rick Carr; special cousin, Betty Sowders; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Friday, April 8, at the Jellico Church of God Mt. Assembly with Rev. H. Lee Ray and Rev. Mike Douglas officiating.
Burial was Saturday, April 9, in the Fox Cemetery in Newcomb, Tennessee.
