It was a wet and cold end to the 2014 regular season on Halloween night, but it was also a good night for two area football teams.
The Corbin Redhounds won their ninth game in a row with a 20-6 victory at Knox Central. Next week the Hounds will host LaRue County in the first round of the Class 3A state championship playoffs.
And on Senior Night the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets achieved a perfect 10-0 regular season record with a 46-7 win over Pineville. Next week the Jackets will be at home as well, hosting Jenkins in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.
The Whitley County Colonels had the night off, but will be back in action next week when they host the North Laurel Jaguars in Class 5A playoff action.
The Lynn Camp Wildcats played on Thursday this week, losing 46-7 to Middlesboro before travelling to Hazard next Friday night for their first-round playoff game.
