Friday night scores/highlights – 10/3
The Corbin Redhounds started off a little shaky, but were able to improve their record to 5-1 Friday night with a 48-7 win over district opponent Wayne County at Campbell Field. The Hounds now enter into a short week, as they will be travelling to McCreary Central on Thursday, Oct 9, for their next district matchup.
In other action, the Whitley County Colonels picked up their second win of the 2014 season when they travelled to Morgan County and defeated the Cougars 54-6.
And in game one of the post-Phil Russell era, the Lynn Camp Wildcats jumped out to an early lead against visiting Clinton County, but the game was tied at the half. It was still tied in the fourth quarter, and we will report a final score as soon as it becomes available. If the Cats can win, it will be their second victory of the season.
UPDATE: Lynn Camp went ahead 28-22 late in the game Friday, and held on to win by that score.
