Friday night Highlights
The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets jumped ahead of the Harlan Green Dragons 16-0 in the first quarter while their defense looked powerful against the Green Dragons in a 36-0 vitory. Sophomore Jefferson Patrick ran for over 100 yards and scored the first touchdown of the game from two yards out with 7:41 left to put the Jackets ahead, 6-0. Junior quarterback Dalton Sizemore ran in the extra points to put the Jackets ahead 8-0.
A Sizemore pass to Corey Shelton for 38 yards gave the Yellow Jackets a 14-0 lead and when Sizemore added the PAT, Williamsburg led 16-0. The Jackets extended the lead to 30-0 at the half and went on to claim a 36-0 win.
Whitley County fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter and tried to play catch-up football in a 49-20 loss. The Colonels rushed for over 300 yards, but mistakes hurt Whitley County down the line.
