Frances Anderson Hensley
Frances Anderson Hensley, 82, of Gray, went to heaven on December 25, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Harlan, to the late Buck and Rosie Gray Anderson and on August 18, 1951 she was united in marriage in Pineville, to the love of her life Eulus Hensley. This union continued 64 years until Eulus’s death on November 9, 2015.
Frances owned and operated Hensley’s Grocery from 1964-1976. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age and she was a member of Keck Baptist Church in Gray for over 50 years. Frances loved the Lord first and her family second. She recently had a new great grandson, Jenson and her day was brighter when she could love on him.
Frances is survived by her six children; Faye (Denny) McCreary of Elkhart, IN; Judy (Roger) McCreary; Carol (James) Cravens; Joe (Beverly) Hensley; Tim (Donella) Hensley, and Tracy (Steve) Wilburn all of Gray; grandchildren; Sandy Baker (fiancé Donald Archer); Cindy (Ricky) Love; Carrie (Jason) Saunders; Jessica (Chris) Hubbard; Jim Baker; Michael Pringle; Kelly (Ryan) Potts; Jimmy Hensley; and Fred Hensley, also by special people who claimed her as grandmother, Jonathan Barton, Christine Barton, Michael McCreary, and recently Bobby Gilbert; great grandchildren, Angel and Allison Love; Colton and Jenson Hubbard; Victoria Pringle; Edward and Liz Vancil; Mattie Armstrong; Dyllan, Tommy, and Quinton Potts; Kerah Hensley; Hunter and Zach Hensely; Madeline, Emily, and Sidney Archer; Brothers, Carter (Jenny) Anderson and Ernie Anderson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a special granddaughter, Angie McCreary; sisters, Cordie Frye and Pauline Hutton, and by a brother, Garrett Anderson.
The funeral service was held Thursday December 29, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Warren and Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating.
Burial followed in Candle Ridge Cemetery in Gray.
