Fire on Fox Run Road being investigated as arson

Oak Grove Fire Chief Kevin Gibbs declined to elaborate on why, but did confirm that an arson investigator has been requested to look into the cause of a fire that damaged a double-wide trailer on Fox Run Road Saturday morning.
Gibbs said firefighters were called to the trailer located at 2029 Fox Run Road off of Black Diamond Road at 9:07 a.m.
"The windows were blacked out by the smoke that had settled inside the trailer," Gibbs said.
However, firefighters found no flames. Gibbs said the fire had burned itself out due to a lack of Oxygen.
"There was minor charring throughout the trailer but the majority of the damage was smoke damage, "Gibbs said.
Gibbs said investigators are still working to determine where the fire started, but declined to comment on what may have started the fire or damage to the contents of the trailer, citing the ongoing investigation by Kentucky State Police.
From the outside, the trailer appears undamaged. There is a small strip of yellow "caution" tape strung across the front porch and water marks can be seen on the storm door. However, pages from a coloring book still adorn the windows at one end of the trailer.
Gibbs said firefighters were on the scene for more than three hours.
No timetable has been given for when the results of the investigation will be released.
