Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents The Tamburitzans of Duquesne University
The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents The Tamuritzans of Duquesne University, Saturday, October 31, 7:30 p.m. at the Corbin High School Auditorium.
America’s longest-running multicultural song and dance company is a unique ensemble of talented young folk artists dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe and neighboring folk cultures. At the soul of every Tamburitzan performance is its music. Every nationality presented by the group has its own unique sound and flavor. The exceptional variety of folk and classical instruments on the stage amplifies the integral importance of live music to the performance.
As the curtain opens, an array of color dazzles the audience. Together, the kaleidoscope of costumes, melodic sounds and the dancers’ intricate movements express authentic Eastern European folk culture at its best.
