Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents The Karkowska Duo
The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents The Karkowska Duo, Friday, September 16, 7:30 p.m. at Conway Boatman Chapel, Union College, Barbourville, Ky.
Anna Karkowska, virtuoso violinist, and Kasha Karkowska, concert pianist, graduated from the Juilliard School of Music (New York City) and from the Chopin Academy (Warsaw, Poland). The Karkowska Duo has received standing ovations and rave reviews in their tours in North America and Europe. Critics describe Anna’s violin technique as “truly stunning and formidable” and have been equally impressed with Kasha’s piano skills, especially her ability to “deftly shade her dynamics from almost inaudible to powerfully grand.” The Duo has been invited to record programs for Polish
National Television and Radio. In July, 2010, Anna recorded the two-CD album “Virtuosity” with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Individual tickets for the show can be purchased for $30 for adults, $10 for students at the door.
