Find the words, guess the phrase, win $500 cash!

Well, we did it again!
We couldn’t help ourselves.
The News Journal’s Secret Phrase game is back. People wanted it. So we’ve delivered.
It’s pretty simple really. Go to page C-8 to see all the details. A list of the sponsors who make this contest possible are also displayed there. Make sure you thank them and patronize them for their support. They deserve it.
The way this works is simple. Every week, there’s a secret word hidden somewhere in the News Journal. The game started last week, so this week will be the second word. Altogether, the words will make a phrase. But here’s the catch … we aren’t giving you the words in order.
The phrase may be song lyrics, parts of a poem or book, a famous quote or just something we made up out of thin air.
On Dec. 21 — the Wednesday before Christmas — the last word will be revealed. The first person who calls our office, starting at 11:00 a.m., and is able to provide the correct phrase wins $500 cash!
Now how easy is that?
No gimmicks or hoops to jump through. You don’t have to hike half the world looking for a plastic pumpkin or some other trinket.
You can literally lay on your sofa, in your underwear, and play the News Journal’s Secret Phrase game and you may win $500.
Just find a way to get your hands on a newspaper, find the word and you are halfway to a nice Christmas payday.
Enjoy the game!
SOME OTHER STUFF
• I was worried for a brief second recently that the election for U.S. President might end up including some discussion and news coverage of substantive issues, but THANK GOD it hasn’t! That’s just boring.
Instead, lots of time has been spent on things like body language, hand size, sniffing, whether someone sipped too much water during a debate, energy, stamina and dirty talk.
All the stuff that really matters.
